Privacy policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This policy explains how Wentworth Standard Ltd, which trades as DoorStream, uses personal information. We are registered in England and Wales (company number 13628086), our registered office is 20 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, and we are registered with the Information Commission (ZC166855). In this policy "we", "us" and "our" mean Wentworth Standard Ltd.

Who this covers
- People who visit our website or sign up for DoorStream news.
- Our customers: the short-let operators who use DoorStream, and the people who work for them.
- Landlords who ask an operator for a valuation through DoorStream. When we handle your details for an operator, the operator is responsible for them and we act on their instructions. Their privacy notice, shown when you make your request, explains this. It also explains the two things we decide for ourselves: we record once when your report is opened, and we keep the property figures, with your name and contact details removed, to improve our estimates.
What we collect and why
- News sign-ups. If you sign up for DoorStream news, we use your email address and name to send you early-access invitations and, if you ticked the box, DoorStream news, until you unsubscribe. Our basis is your consent for news and our legitimate interests for invitations you asked for.
- Customer accounts. Your name, business details, contact details, login and billing details, and how you use DoorStream. We use them to provide the service, take payment, support you and keep the service secure. Our basis is our contract with you, and our legitimate interests for security and improving the service.
- Messages to us. What you send us, so we can reply.
- Marketing. We send customers marketing emails only if they've agreed. Every one has an unsubscribe link.
- Aggregated statistics. We combine information processed through DoorStream into anonymous statistics, such as average rents or booking performance in an area. No individual, property or customer can be identified from them. We use them to improve DoorStream and to publish market insights. Our basis is our legitimate interests.
Who we share it with
We use service providers to run DoorStream: hosting and databases, email and text-message delivery, payments, customer records, maps, and AI providers that help produce reports. Each acts on our instructions under a contract that protects your information. None may use it for their own purposes, and no AI provider may train its models on it. The current list is at doorstream.ai/subprocessors. When you view maps in the portal, your browser loads them from our map providers, Mapbox (in the US) and OpenStreetMap, which receive your IP address. Our website loads its typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser also sends your IP address to Google.
We share information with others only where the law requires it, or with a buyer if our business is sold. We never sell personal information.
International transfers
Some providers are outside the UK, mainly in the US and the EU. We transfer information only under a recognised safeguard: a UK adequacy decision or data bridge, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
- News sign-ups: until you unsubscribe, or two years after we last contacted you.
- Customer accounts: while your account is open, then up to 12 months. Billing records are kept for six years because tax law requires it.
- Messages to us: up to two years.
Cookies
Our website sets no cookies and uses no analytics. In the DoorStream portal we use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure. If we ever add others, we'll ask first.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, or ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another provider. You can withdraw consent at any time. Email privacy@doorstream.ai and we'll reply within one month. We don't make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects using only automated means.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first at privacy@doorstream.ai. You can also complain to the Information Commission at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change matters to you, we'll tell you.
